Loved Hong Kong. Ate all meals at the hotel and found them excellent. One meal we ate at Gaddi's and it was terrible.

Hong Kong is always wonderful however it is now the most expensive place on the planet and I'm from London!!!! The prices to eat and drink out, except going to back street cafes and stalls, are eye wateringly expensive and take the edge off the visit. Hong Kong makes Oslo and St Moritz look a bargain.
However public transport is superb and cheap - even taxis are plentiful at all hours and good value.
Hong Kong does offer loads to do and see for a city visit but if you're on a shoestring be prepared to not see the inside of a bar or restaurant for your whole stay!!

We visited the nearby women street, found a lot of bargain of 100% cashmere knitwear. The MTR tskes us to everywhere.I recommended you to check the weather first before you go to the Victoria Peak, the day we were there was very foggy, we couldn't see a thing.

The transportation system is excellent here in Hong Kong, especially from the airport. It is quite easy to get around using the subways. Be careful if you have a fear of crowds. Try using the subway during lunchtime instead of during the morning or evening rush. For dinner around the hotel, try the restaurant called "Cinta." There are actually two of these restaurants around the hotel. It's quite romantic at about 9PM when the live band plays.

As our stay was very short we did not take any tours. We wanted to come earlier, but could not get a flight because of Chinese New Year, but Hong Kong is still a fascinating destination.

Attention Shoppers:
Hong Kong has definetly changed over the past few years. The open markets
to buy electronics (cameras, PDAs, etc.) are not very cheap anymore. Prices
usually are the same as the big Hong Kong malls now.

Was there during Chinese New Year, so many attractions were closed, but the shopping was world class, and the street stalls were also fun for bargains.
