Visit sentosa island (take the cable car ride to or from the island, the aquarium and do a hike on the island), Singapore's amazing restaurants (I especially liked the vietnamese restaurant at the chijmes), bars, clubs and overall nightlife (it actually goes late into the night unlike many other destinations) and if you have time do a walk around the allson as I did and found many interstesting sights & shops.

I like the Prego restaurant (Italian) at Stamford. And the mango ice cream at the Market Place, also inside the hotel.

If you are looking for electronic goods such as digital cameras and camcorders, go to Sim Lim Square. You will be awed by the number of shops that specialised in such goods, all in one building!

Very easy to go to places as all major attractions are pretty well connected by MRT and/or SBS Transit.
One should carry adequate cash as the acceptance of credit/debit cards is not as much as one would generally find it in Australia, UK or the US. I personally had to change foreign currency three times in 5 days as the cash I carried with me got over very soon due to non-acceptance of card.

Singapore after SARS and the economic backlash has turned around beautifully. Shopping is fantastic. The place is amongst the cleanest and the discipline enforced for violations is admirable. The local Chinese especially the taxi drivers have become very friendly!

We would recommend visiting the East Coast park with great views of the many tankers off shore and the first skate view McD's. You can even rent bicycles fairly cheap and go for a ride along the coast.

One thing that I truly recommend to everyone is the Sentosa Island and especially the "Dancing Fountains" laser light show! WOW, that was truly awesome, never seen anything like that! But there are only 2 shows a night, so I suggest that you'll go there when it's still daylight and explore the island, and when it gets dark, see the 3D laser show. After that you might want to take the cable car to the peak of the mountain and have some drins in there. Quite expensive, but nice atmosphere (eduring public holidays and weekends book a table!).

Walking around is best. Boat Quay is great at night time. Raffles is well worth it for a couple of cocktails and bar bites on the veranda (and it is not as expensive as you would imagine!!)
