There is a foot reflexology place about 100 metres down Orchard Road on the left from the corner of Scotts and Orchard which is absolutely brilliant - it certainly helped with all the shopping.

Singapore is a great location, perfect for shopping. Try DIM SUM in the Summer palace in the Regent hotel - that is really an experience. Equinox bar in the westin stamford is great for a look over the city at night.

We took our kids to the zoo and that was excellent, even though we spent the whole day there, we were able to keep cool, lots of choice for food and cooling shelter for our baby. Taxis are available throughout the day at an affordable price. Shopping haven is just one stop away. Newton food court is just round the corner and seafood is great.

The beach is not as good as Thailand. The new visa on arrival rule was really terrible, not only for money but also time consuming. The entrance process was really slow.

Enjoyed the City Tour and and Night Safari very much. Chinatown is a must. Clarke's Quay is very enchanting. Took a boat ride there and had our dinners at Clarke's Quay restaurants by the waterside. Singapore is very clean and a very nice place to visit - will go back anytime.

We took our kids to Sentosa, which was very nice resort. The kids enjoyed playing on the beach while we loved the view (minus the big boats in the background). We would consider spending a night or two at Sentosa the next time around because there are some activities and sights that would be nice at night.

Restaraunts in this area are excellent. Singapore currently has a taxi problem with taxis difficult to get from non-hotel areas eg Science Centre, Museums etc. They do not wait in such areas but wait elsewhere for phone bookings (the $S3.20 surcharge could precipitate this).

Singapore is a lovely city. Clean and nice. You do not get fooled by taxis, they drive on meter. Taxis have to pay tax when they leave the airport so you pay roughly 25 SD when you arrive and 15 SD when you leave.
Do not buy a package of tickets at Sentosa island. Just get there, and pay for the amusements you really want to see.
Want to dress your little grandaughter as a princess? Try Serangoon Road. Want open market shopping? Go to Bugis Village. Do not miss a Singapore sling at Raffles and a Sunday Brunch at Fullerton.
