The best hotel in Little India that I can recommend is the Komalavilas Restaurant. For as little as S$5.00 one can have a full meal and, believe me, it is really value for money.

Singapore has an excellent public transport system and that makes it easy for anybody to move around without any problems. I particularly like the cleanliness in Singapore.

I think this hotel is the nicest one around the area of Little India. I will only stay there again if I had shoping to do in Little India. I went to a restaurant on Syed Alvi Road close to Mustafa centre called Royal Cafe. The food was extremely cheap and tasty with tea, coffee, 2 coconuts, biryani, murtabak, and parathas only $15.00.

Breakfast was marginal. The only easy way to get around was to take a taxi to the metro and use that.

Bugis is the closest MRT stop, about 10 minutes by foot. Excellent Indian courtyard restaurant on the mall adjacent to hotel. No shortages of local food options, from hawkers to corner food vendors to the delicious food of Little India.

Ideal location for electronics and photographic shopaholics - four minutes stagger to the hotel from Sim Lim Square and Sim Lim Tower. Six minutes walk to Bugis MRT and one stop to City Hall for the IT Mall. Supplement these Techno Temples by checking out Centrepoint and The Specialist Centre (MRT Somerset) in Orchard Road. Good Internet cafe in Unit #01-23 of Specialist Centre.
Detox after the long flight at Rairua Men's Sauna at Rairua, 118 Neil Road. (MRT Outram Park).

Singapore is a destination one would like to visit often. It is really incredible that every time you visit this place, it has changed ever so slightly to something better.
My suggestion to visitors is take a slow walk around Little India to see this place. Particularly recommended is Komala Vilas Restaurant for a hearty meal and Coffee, freshly brewed.

Excellent durian vendor in the street across the crossing; local indian breakfast in vegetarian restaurant across the main road; hotel not known to all taxi drivers

Singapore is a great city! The ethnic (and food) diversity, the cleanliness, and the friendly people. The East Coast Seafood complex is a must - we ate the best crab of our life at Jumbo Seafood. The Singapore Tourist board provides many maps and other helpful information (pick these up at the airport), including walking tours of Little India, Chinatown, and Colonial Singapore.
