Round island tour and snorkelling trip was fun and enjoyable.

A beautifully setting of sea resort holidays. Food was all right. However at RM55 per head for dinner, it was not worth. Take a cab and enjoy outside food.

Restaurants- choice of vegetarian food is too few.

The resort was more family oriented that was suitable for us. A bit too noisy (too many children). Poorly arranged trip back to to the mainland!

There are couple of good restaurant for seafood. The taxi driver is able to recommend a few. Good and fresh seafood in town. But the taxi fare is a little pricy for locals!

Plenty to do - games, watersports, island tour or just plain lazing by the pool or the soft, smooth sands. I would return!

The buffet at the Hornbill restaurant offers a wide spread of variety. However we find the price expensive, and the restaurant seems to be unable to cope with the immense crowd on the Saturday night we were there. Seats were not enough, and we were being shuffed to one corner, and the waiters were too busy trying to clear plates and serve the overwhelming guests that they were not able to provide service up to standard.

It is also difficult to access to the town area from the Hotel. We would appreciate if the hotel could arrange scheduled transport service to and fro the town area.

The only thing that really spoilt our holiday was on our day of return. We reached the hotel jetty by 2.20pm trying to catch the 2.30pm ferry. However, the hotel probably did not anticipate the number of guests leaving the jetty, and had only arranged for 2 ferries to transport guests back to Lumut. We waited for whole 2 hours at the jetty before we could get onto the ferry. We wish the hotel could improve on the logistics aspects.

The first few hours were spent in the outdoor pool that was clean and beckoning. We basked in the sun and enjoyed a couple a heneiken at the pool bar. Clayte said he was going to send some pictures of the beautiful setting to his mates at home.

We had his bithday dinner at the hornbill restaurant - It should be the only restaurant in the resort but with a private beach, we think we could work with less food options. We ordered a bottle of white wine, Clayte had the pangkor snapper that you must definitely try if you visit, it was, trust me, marvellous. He enjoyed it tremendously. I had a malay rice set with meat on skewer and crackers etc. It was normal. The meal set us back by Rm183 but we thought for a birthday romantic dinner by the beach front, it was worth it.

Next day was breakfast and walks along the beach, more pool drinks. We didn't do much this time but Clayte did water skiing last time and I think it cost Rm80 then. If you are planning to visit there, take this little tip from us. Close your balcony doors and front room doors. The monkeys there are so clever. Last time we visited, they attacked our fridge, took some fruits we put in and also ravished the packets of peanuts. We had to pay for the peanuts but thankfully we stopped them in time before they went on a drinking session on us :)

I think resort is alright for the money we paid. The final bill came up to Rm727.60 because Clayte made a long distance call the was charged at 207.90. Phone bills are crazy at hotels all the time. There are however, other budget options on the island too.

The destination is excellent as it's cloest to the ferry pier, with free transportation from / to the hotel. This is also recommended to join the Jungle walk to experience a journey in a tropical rain forest.
