I enjoyed the casual atmosphere of the Thai Cowboy Cafe and across the street at The Beach Club near the twin towers in the Golden Triangle area of KL. Both are on a street lined with restaurants and beer bars geared for the business traveller.

KL, great shopping, great food. Hop on monorail to get around, cheap, and often. Carry a small umbrella, rain is heavy! Recommend 'Old Siam' restaurant, 400 metres from Jalan Bukit Bintang, just past bottom of Jalan Alor.

Didn't visit a lot of places, just went shopping at Sungei Wang (value for money). But, if you are looking for a nice place for dinner, I highly recommend Tamarind Hill in Ampang. They have very nice ambience and the environment is perfect for our tastes and the food is great. No complaints except for the rain.

While KL offers a good shopping area, but if you hunt for good food, better leave KL and head for the nearby areas...for a good seafood, go straight to Old Subang airport area where you can find stretch of sea food restaurants and at reasonable prices. If you don't mind hawker food, one of the best hawker food area is SS2 in PJ where you will find it always full most of the time. A very good Indian restuarant with a very reasonable price called Shaffron in Sri Hatamas serves very good Bhatura---must try! And if you crave for some sweets, go to Atriam in Damansara Jaya.. The bakery shop called Bon Bon outside the Atriam has excellent Durian cake....Enjoy!

It's my 1st trip to KL and came away kind of disappointed. The traffic is in a mess and the public transport system ie. the LRT and monorail is quite confusing. It meant to be a shopping trip and have to admit that the malls are real big and can spend the whole day there. The Twin Tower is manificent but have to spend more than an hour queueing for the tickets. Bukit Bintang and the roller coaster ride at the theme park at Berjaya Times Square is a must.

For a few drinks and a cigar, go to Hemingway's-33 Changkat Bukit Bintang. There are also some good restaurants in the same street.

Nice location on the Jalan Petaling, you can walk around to find something interested. It's also near Central Market, Sasar Seni Station of Putra LRT, and Puduraya Bus Station. So it's easy to go everywhere you want to go.

KL is great, easily accessible from Singapore by train. The food is great with so many choices, shopping also. Drop in and see Eddie at the Karaoke bar next to the Bintang for a quite beer. Sepang is only about 45 minutes by Taxi- best holiday yet.

For good Malaysian cuisine, try Mdm Kwan's at Suria KLCC 4th level. Nice ambience, attractive selection & friendly waiters.
