Try the Port View restaurant. Despite not really cheap, it offers a good variety of tasty seafood.

I did the 2D/1N climb of Mt. Kinabalu. It was a very thrilling trip, but not as easy as the internet sites would suggest.

Organising excursions was easy and the choice was more than we could fit in. Strongly recommend the bike ride to the local village for breakfast, Sapi Island trip, and climbing Mt Kinabalu. Bike ride to local market was however disappointing.
Coast restaurant was exceptional and worth the few extra pounds. Recommend its Happy Hours overlooking glorious sunset over the South China Sea. Local BBQ, although interesting, could have done with some more explanation from the staff. I almost forgot the traditional massages - a must!!

This was a one night stop to catch plane to Layang Layang next morning. We intend to come to Malaysia again when we will combine some jungle trekking and diving and we will stay in the same hotel again in KK.

We much enjoyed our four-day stay. Unique Golf course and a car trip to Borneo interior was very pleasant. Yes, don't miss to visit Oran Utans residing next door at the hotel!

We had an extremly enjoyable evening at the Coast restaurant where the food was delicious & the staff very friendly. There were a number of tours which could be arranged by the hotel, we went to a local island to do some snorkelling over the reef. The reef had many different corals & marine life. Although this was a good day, the island did become rather busy as different groups arrived.

Kota Kinabalu is not worth the visit. There is really nothing to see and the town is rather dirty!

Well since this visit was totally for working purpose, I've can't comment much about the destination. But as far as im concern Kota Kinabalu is such a lovely place. A place everyone who loves nature & peace should love Kota Kinabalu as well.

Kota Kinabalu is not an interesting town. The surrounding areas are, however. We climbed Mt. Kinabalu which was absolutely terrific, though not suited to the unfit as it is a quite demanding uphill walk. We didn't find anything interesting in KK, nor any decent restaurants.

Restaurant served good food and was clean. Staff was good. I have rented a car at 80 ringlets a day and will be travelling along the coast and inland from here so I can't say much. I have driven to some beach resorts and the beaches are great and prices there reasonable
