I travelled around kota kinabulu on my motor bike so going up the mountain to the park is an excellent motorbike ride, night life great in center of town shenanigans, uppersorts cafe opposite and blue reef bar grill and night club all good choices, quick tip happy hours in most places between 5pm and 9pm, drinks very expensive after this.

Use hotel shuttle bus to and from city. KK has plenty of inexpensive restaurants. Shopping in Malaysia is excellent value and of high quality. With little effort and a visit to Sabah Tourism Office, one can arrange own visits to places of interest at a fraction of price of organised tours.

The Sapi islands, just 20 minutes from the hotel by boat is the best spot with a beautiful beach.

Our family had a short, but relaxing and fun-filled holiday in your hotel.
Our 8-year-old son was delighted to meet our neighbours who live in the Nature Reserve --- the orang utangs. He was impressed by the way they were taken care of, but still living in the wild life. He misses them very much. We admire your hotel's determination in reserving the nature.
Other than trekking in the rain forest, we had a wonderful time on the beach as well: digging crabs, riding horses and doing water sports... or simply doing nothing but basking under the palm trees.
When the boys are racing in the swimming pool, I took the chance to get my sore muscles relaxed ---by a masseuse in the hotel spa, and to get my manicure and pedicure done. When I woke up, I felt totally refreshened and revitalized.
The restaurants will be one of the reasons that we are going back again: your Italian restaurant serves delicous pizza and seafood.
We particulary remember the evening we spent at 'Coast'--- stunning ocean front view, post modern decor, nice music, and of course, the fusion dishes prepared by chef from New Zealand forced me to forget about my weight-watching-diet for one evening. I have to say, that evening wraps up our trip in a chic style.

I hired a car from the hotel for two days. The first day I drove up to the Kinabalu National Park. Great views of the very impressive Mount Kinabalu. Second day went down the coast to Papar where there are some good beach resorts.

Climbed Mount Kinabalu; not an easy climb but well worth it to watch the sun rise.

The facilities were excellent. Great Italian restaurant and superb buffet breakfast with just about anything you could possibly want to eat for breakfast. The children's play area was wonderful and the staff at the children's room were delightful and very attentive. Again highly recommended especially for families.
