I drove in from Singapore and therefore able to move around in JB. Anyhow, there are lots of nice eating outlets and restuarants in and around the hotel.

We found the open-air stalls outside the hotel near the Stulang Laut, extremely good. The pratas are fluffy and the rojak delicious. That must have been the saving grace for our whole trip.

We visited the shopping areas, and bargains were definitely great.

The shopping areas are easily accessible by taxi. But it will be nice if the hotel can provide flyers indicating the activities in the destination during the guest's stay.

Were there for a visit to friends so didn't tour much. But what I can say was that it's just beside a shopping center (Holiday Plaza) so you could get cheap things there but beware of imitation.

After I was in Johor and Malaka. Both are far away, I think is a good place if you enjoy golf or you do not want to do anything.

We went to several shopping complexes i.e. City Square, Kotaraya and Pelangi Plaza. Traveling by local taxis are cheap and convenient.
