The main attraction is the casino. It is huge and people go there to gamble. They have other attraction like outdoor and indoor theme park. However, the availability of the ride and attraction at the outdoor theme park is subjected to the management constant lack of communication. The notice board will say the ride is open but most of the time it will be closed. It also rain most of the time.

There is a very good PIZZA restaurant, which I really liked there food. The recreation city near to the hotel was very nice. You need to which the weather before going since all most of games will close if rain starts.

Unfortunately we went there during the peak period - Christmas. The hotel, malls, restaurants, everywhere were packed with people. We had to spend long long time for a game (indoor or outdoor) or for a seat inside the casino.

Genting is worth staying a day or maximum two. They can still improve the Theme park with innovative games. For vegetarians,.. BETTER AVOID Genting... Not even a single vegetarian restaurant around..

Genting Highlands is self-contained. Self-drive is recommended for experienced drivers. You can rely on the people of Malaysia for directions if you are unsure of how to get to Genting Highlands/Kuala Lumpur.

If you aren't sure of the destination, you can make arrangements with the hotel manager to use their limo-service to take you right to the door-step. Once you are there, you are safe to get around on your own with the help of the signboards located at various places of both indoor and outdoor.

There is also a Chinese temple somewhere out there. While the children are at the Theme Park, why not try your luck at the casino.

Most important of all, you will never be left hungry as there are many restaurants and cafe just around the corner.

Last but not least, hope you or/and your family, will enjoy yourself at Gentings Highland Resort.

The Peak Restuarant on the 17th floor of the Genting Hotel is highly recommended - excellent service/food/ambience and they presented a surprise complimentary birthday cake that we weren't expecting. It was the only part of the hotel that meets its 5* rating in our opinion.

The Theme Park had some reasonable rides and cheap compared to the UK, but again some very scruffy areas. A lot of building work going on on an adjacent new hotel - if they are to cater for another 6,200 rooms in the new hotel, they will certainly have to upgrade the Theme Park as it definately would not cope with the increased numbers.

The whole area is a bit of a 'concrete jungle' in a hill-top/rainforest setting, however we were expecting this. A few eyesores around, especially building sites/depots. The Casino was worth a visit.
