We arrived by Ferry and had transfer by the Hotel. That is an excellent way to access the Hotel from Singapore. There is no other worthwhile hotel in Desaru but that does not detract from enjoying this Hotel.

Desaru is quite a boring place during December, because the weather is not suitable for anything fun by the sea.

The hotel is easy to locate. We took a short trip further east to Sungei Renggit for lunch. The seafood was very nice and we also treated ourselves with Malaysia's most favourite produce - durian.
Need to inform potential guests of monsoon period during which the beach may not be safe for swimming but recommend other suitable activities which guests can look forward to during the season.
Should hightlight some good attractions to guests early so that they can include them in the plan. Only learn about the visit to fruit farm from the activity desk when we arrive.

I wouldn't go to Desaru again. Many hotels in that area have closed down, the beaches aren't great and even if you have a car there's nothing much to do there. However it's like a 2 hour drive from Singapore so it's fine if/ when you have a car filled with kids. Malaysia has better beaches to offer. I wouldn't waste my time in Desaru again.
