nice place nice weather, but the road condition over Pahang side is very much better then Perak side. Maybe Gov can do something to improve on this.

The Cameron Highlands are very picturesque and would definitely recommend a visit (unless you don't like BIG beetles !). We definitely needed a car for both sightseeing and to be able to visit the main town - Tanah Rata. We visited a tea plantation and although they were almost closing, they still gave us a tour around the factory. Most of the restaurants in the main town seem to offer much the same and are great value for money.

Great for a few days break, did a couple of hikes, wandered the towns and enjoyed visits to the various farms. Excellent curry for dinner at Shal's Curry House, which had a menu extensive enough to suit kids too. After Singapore and KL, the cooler temperature came as a welcome break.

Cameron Highlands is a really nice place. The climate is wonderful the scenery great and you can not get roses cheaper than here.

Not as 'picturesque' as I expected overall. Tanah Rata is utterly charmless. A long and tortuous drive to get there, and then get out again. A car (or driver) is a necessity to get around. Not much to see apart from the tea plantations (which are very nice).

We went there for the cold air and it was great. Saturday night's night market is highly recommended.

Cameron Highlands is quite a nice place for hill station lovings but for my idea, the surroundings at Fraser Hill is much better.
