Stayed at Wuxi Jin Jiang Grand Hotel - Wuxi, China.
|
This was my first trip to Wuxi. It rained and had thunderstorms the first day. The hotel staff was less than helpful and all they could tell us was to ask taxi drivers for information. We did make it to the lake which was very nice but the Three Kingdoms part was just a representation and not worth the time.
I did have a street beggar follow me around for a half hour and he was so annoying the locals were embarassed and yelled at him and beat him but he would not leave until we got on our bus.
Overall I was not very impressed with Wuxi as it is old and dirty compared to shanghai. It would have been better to have gone to hangzhou for a nice weekend.
