Dunhuang is definitely worth a visit. The Mogao cave paintings are a real treasure and should definitely be seen with an english speaking guide to explain the paintings and sculptures. The sand dunes are also beautiful. We had fun riding the camels and sliding down the sand dunes.

Dunhuang is nothing in town. But there have interesting deserts for sightseeing, especially Ya-dan. Ofcourse the caves have value to see in once of life.
