Good location near central market.

Stayed at  FCC Phnom Penh - Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
A trip to the beaches at Sihanokville is a must, and very inexpensive if you travel by the buses.

Wat Phnom at the weekend is an entertaining sight, whilst the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda are stunning.

Have a peaceful and (welcome) relaxing break in the national museum.

Stayed at  Pacific - Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
The place Phonm Pehn is really nice if you can visited alone, no more tourism, this is GOOD. Friendly people.

O Alt 07 April 2003
Stayed at  FCC Phnom Penh - Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Took the boat from Pnomh Penh to Seim Reap, it took 7 hours as river was silted up before the rainy season begins. Did the on deck bit, inside was just too enclosed feeling, and too many people in case of an emergency exit. #45 skin block, a mat to sit on, water and food AND ear plugs are a must. If this sounds too rough, I might mention that my husband is 70 and I am 64, so if we can, you can! Although we did fly Seim Reap Airlines on the return, a nice airline.

L Lessin 05 April 2003
Stayed at  Juliana Hotel - Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Really recommend the palace complex.

J Waiss 30 March 2003
Stayed at  FCC Phnom Penh - Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
FCC has a great restaurant. Good location to all the better restaruants, walking distance. Places to visit Royal Palace, National Museum and also Tuol Museum (Khmer Rouge S-21 Prison). Russian Market....you may be surprised.

S Leech 29 March 2003
Stayed at  Cambodiana Hotel - Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Cambodia is a terrific place to visit. It's perplexing how expensive it is relative to the average income in country. But, it is well worth anything you pay. A fascinating place.

G Grosoli 28 March 2003
Stayed at  Holiday Villa Phnom Penh - Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
The town is nice, although still very much undeveloped. No taxis around, you can find only very few at the airport at a fix rate per ride.

M Van cauteren 28 March 2003
Stayed at  Tai Seng Hotel - Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Travelling by motorbike (with driver) is easy, cheap and effective but has some risks. Taking a car is so much more comfortable and still at very reasonable rate. For the trip to Choeng Ek I would absolutely take a car and not a bike. The dust and holes in the road are too frequent and annoying.
