Stayed at Cairns Colonial Club Resort - Cairns, Australia.

The Great Barrier Reef is the highlight of a visit to the area, but there are many other exciting places e.g Kurander and the lovely beaches north of Cairns, not to mention crocodile spotting on the River Daintree.

Stayed at Glenferrie Lodge - Sydney, Australia.

Sydney is a fantastic place to visit. As well as doing the city and harbour, hire a car for Blue Mountains, Northern Beaches and further if you like. Some kind of forest walk in Blue Mountains is essential.

Stayed at Aarons All Suites - Perth, Australia.

We were only in Perth 1 night so it is difficult to comment. The city of Perth was pretty dead. Kings Park was fantastic with all the wild flowers. Margaret River was our main destination, and that was superb.

Stayed at Palazzo Versace Surfers Paradise - Gold Coast, Australia.
|
Mirage next to the Palazzo offers some nice restaurants, especially Vue. Plenty of activities and tours: we visited Tamborine Mountains, a nice drive, made a helicopter tour and rented a boat all in the same day.

Stayed at Holiday Inn Sydney Airport - Sydney, Australia.
|
This hotel is by the airport which is a 30 minute cab ride to the CBD so don't stay here if you want to enjoy the delights of Sydney. If you do not know Sydney just get there as quick as you can - it's great. Tip: try Dee Bees restaurant in Double Bay - it has the best bread and butter pudding with vanilla sauce in the world, honest!

Stayed at Kirkton Hotel - Sydney, Australia.

Sydney was a great city to visit. The Harbor, Circular Quay, and the Rocks area are just great to walk around. The opera house is great for pictures. Also, check out the funky little neighborhoods like Darlinghurst, and Paddington. The design of the buildings in Paddington are wonderful. Restaurants are great too. You can find some good Asian restaurants, especially Thai. For side trip, make sure you take a trip over to Manly Beach and go out of town to the Blue Mountains.

National Parks around Darwin are great. I would recommend a camping trip to Kakudu and Katherine.
