Bassora valley with wine tasting... interesting and festive. Some good restaurants close to the hotel, of which Fasta Pasta with a very good report/ratio price quality.

A visit (or two) to the Barossa Valley is a must. We heartily recommend Premier Stateliner's day trip: competitive price made even more competitive by reductions for pensioners. The included lunch at Yaldara Wines was one of the best meals of the entire holiday. The wines weren't bad, either!

The hotel's in good location in sydney, just 15 minutes walk to the heart of city, 10 minutes to china town. I came back to hotel from Darling Harbour by walk after dinner. And the city is very nice.

Sydney is a great city with beautiful views. You will find all the info you'll need on the free pamphlets at the airport. Make sure you use the coupons which are in the pamphlets. It'll save you some money!

Would not recommend staying at Ayers Rock for more than a night. Plenty time to see Ayers Rock and The Olgas. Recommend hiring a car to see both as not far from resort.

We stayed 2 nights so we had enough time to visit Ayers Rock, The Olgas. We rent a car at the information centre. The supermarket is well supplied. The restaurant we tried was Geckos Cafe-good food and service.

We loved seeing Uluru and learning about the aboriginal culture. Be sure to visit the culture center at the resort as well as the one in the park. If you have a choice, don't make the trip in the summer. It was extremely hot and the numerous flies were very annoying. However, I recommend seeing the rock and if summer is your only chance do it anyway! (Just plan to spend the hot part of the day in the pool.)

Strong recommendation: the Sydney harbour cruise (2,5h), the observation deck of the AMP-Tower and the Aquarium. For the gourmets: try the steaks, seafood, sandwiches and of course the wine! Last but not least: enjoy your trip but be prepared to spend a lot of money. Sydney (Australia) is very expensive.

Uluru Express minibus service is a good alternative for travellers who don't want to join large coach tours of the National Park - can be arranged from Ayres Rock Resort. The Valley of the Winds Walk at The Olgas is a worthwhile addition to the more usual Ayres Rock sunrise/sunset trips.
