The place might be cool at night, especially after rain, a light sweater or long sleeve shirt is needed to keep warm. There are lots of places to shop for fruits, vegetables & flowers, best is to travel by car.

A good place for those that prefer a quite retreat, Jungle Trial and Town is within walking distance. For those that expect shopping mall nearby, don't come here!

As we had a car we could easily visit all places in one day! If you don't have transportation you need more days to see it all. If you like to hike do stay even longer as this is a very nice place to walk. We started at Boh Tea estate: Sungei Palas. This Tea estate is very nice located and you can walk to it from the main road. It goes hilldown first and it takes you about 35 minutes. Back it is up the hill again and you will need 50 minutes. It is a nice walk and at the end you will find the visitors centre and a Tea shop. They have a free guided tour and a little cafe. Take a morning to visit this.
In all the shops you can buy a map of the Cameron Highlands which gives you a good orientation and information of what to do.
If you like the old english period do visit the Smoke house. We had dinner there - you have to take your money with you, but worth it. High tea is also a good alternative to use here.

The plantation tour organised by the tour desk was disappointing. The tour guide was imcompetent. We were left to wander around the attractions on our own while he was having tea breaks with his friends. We could have done it on our own.
Arrangement can also be made with taxi drivers to bring you around Cameron Highlands at affordable rate. The Pasar Malam at Brinchang was good for souvenir hunting.
