I still reckon the Avanti Restaurant at Sunway Lagoon is one of the best in KL. Ambience (singing waiters and chefs!) food (try the Lamb Rack!) and service are truly excellent.

Transportation: taxi or car only. Do not believe the scale on map offered by hotel. Just ask local people or hotel staff about your destination. e.g. How much does taxi cost from here to there, how long does it take.
Restaurant: Since we are local Malaysian food lovers, we had our yummy business in the food court of Summit Parade and Sunway Pyramid. Laksa, Ice Kacang only cost a few ringgits. Inexpensive but taste good!

Good mid-week, golf destination. I would not stay here if I was going to spend time in KL. Rooms are very nice. Good place to stay for a first night or last night. Restaurants were expensive and sushi bar looked horrendous.

Since Subang Airport is not fully operated anymore, (it is only for Berjaya Airlines) if your destination is Tioman Island, or Pulau Tioman, get ready for refreshments and stuff by yourselves. There is no shops opened...except a restaurant on the 1st floor which serves local food.

My destination in KL is wonderful as you can enjoy a lovely country for my vocation. The food is good and very cheap. For the local people, they cost only MYR4-5 for a meal!! The shopping malls are beatiful looking from outside but you find nothing inside. This is the problem of poor economy. People to KL must take extra care about the taxi drivers. In one occasion, I get into a taxi at twin tower in central KL and ask the drivers to go to a hotel nearby. He told me that the fare will be MYR10!! In fact, it should be only MYR3. The problem is that the taxi driver should get their fare according to their meter, not by negotiation!! This is the government regulation.

Inside hotel there are so many various type of restaurants e.g. Japanese, Italian, Thai, International, pub, etc. Many sports activities. If you want to shopping then 5 mins from hotel a well-known shopping center costs you only 4 RM to go there via taxi.
