The nearest attraction near this resort would be the Pangkor Island. There are ferries arranged by the hotel to get to the Lumut jetty from the hotel. And from Lumut, many other ferry operators provide trips to Pangkor Island. The ride in these ferries are exceptionally pleasant especially when standing on the deck or at the back of the ferry. The view of the surrounding greenery as well as the ships and submarines of the nearby Naval Base is a great backdrop for picture taking.
On Pangkor Island itself, the best way is to get some form of transportation to get around as there aren't much to see on the jetty except for shops selling fish and seafood products. The recommended way (if you have a motorcycle license) is to rent a motorcycle for only RM20 a day. However, care must be taken as the roads can get slightly dangerous.
Alternatively, if you do not possess a motorcycle license like me, hop on to one of those pink van-taxies. They'll take you around the island for about RM40. Bear in mind this includes stops at local tourist attractions such as temples and beaches, as well as a personal description of each place by the driver.
On the mainland, a short 15 minute drive will take you to Sitiawan, famous for their biscuits. A nice enough place to go to for dinner at night should you choose not to eat hotel food.

The food at Blossom Chinese Restaurant is good. Coffee House ok. Noodle House disappointing. Fun pub needs better ventilation from cigarette smoke.
