J Goode 02 February 2003
Stayed at  Orchard Hotel Singapore - Singapore, Singapore.
Loved Singapore although most of the shops were closed because of the Chinese New Year!

I Shaw 19 January 2003
Stayed at  Grand Central Hotel - Singapore, Singapore.
Our timing was immaculate, with the build up to Chinese New Year and the remarkable, eye opening Thai Pusam festival taking place during our stay. Recommended restaurant - the Banana Leaf Apolo in Little India was very good - great food served in a traditional way. Recommended first purchase - an umbrella.

C Ah mooi 15 December 2002
Stayed at  Phoenix Singapore - Singapore, Singapore.
This is not my first trip to Singapore as I am a Malaysian citizen and have been to Singapore many times. Christmas celebration in Singapore is wonderful. Shopping in Singapore is quite expensive for me but certain things are cheaper. Shouldn't have problems for people from US or UK or other countries who have higher exchange rate. Food was good, people friendly, clean environment. Those who haven't been to Singapore before should made an attempt to go there.

I Hosken 10 August 2002
Stayed at  New 7th Storey Hotel - Singapore, Singapore.
Thoroughly enjoyed the Rodin exhibition at the Museum and the fireworks for the Singaporean national day.

L Jack 11 July 2002
Stayed at  Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel - Singapore, Singapore.
Visited Singapore Expo, as have visited Singapore many times had no trouble getting around. One possible consideration could be to run a shuttle bus a couple of times a day to Orchard Road or other shopping locations and places of interest.

L Desa 07 July 2002
Stayed at  Keong Saik Hotel - Singapore, Singapore.
If you fly singapore air - the splendour card they give for free is good and gives you good tips on where to eat. If you have a chance make a trip out to The national stadium, where they have a flea market on Saturday's and have some restaurants there.

G Kartasasmita 09 June 2002
Stayed at  Phoenix Singapore - Singapore, Singapore.
There's nothing like Singapore during the great Singapore Sale. Makes you want to buy the whole country!!

M Ainslie 22 April 2002
Stayed at  Marina Mandarin Singapore - Singapore, Singapore.
Went for the Singapore 7's so the hotel is in an ideal location (actually it was the official hotel for the 7's) and they coped admirably.

A Landergren 13 February 2002
Stayed at  Fullerton, The - Singapore, Singapore.
Excellent spot for the chinese new year fireworks!! Over the street you find "One Fullerton" with some good resturants.

A Gonzalez 05 February 2002
Stayed at  Chinatown Hotel - Singapore, Singapore.
Singapore is a great city. Everyting is modern and extremely efficient. The shopping is on par with any of the great cities as far as value goes (especially during the January sales). And you can't beat the food, perhaps the best in asia. We walked to the Tanjong Pagar MRT station (about 5 minutes) and got around via that. The hotel is in close proximity (less than 3 minutes) to one of Singapores great eat streets in Chinatown.
