I lived 6 years in HK so I like (almost) everything about the place. Especially the bars and restaurants around Soho.

there's limited cultural venues in hong kong aside from very high end and very low end shopping, people watching, and clubbing/karaoke for those staying for short visits. excellent cuisine can be found everywhere from western to eastern styles. victoria peak and a ferry ride is a must do. walking tours around central (finance district) and causeway bay are worthwhile.

Went to the Peak, which of course is a must. For shopping, do go to Pacific Place. They also have the better movie theatres. Repulse Bay is good, although the sand is not that great - but the size makes it possible for you to find a spot. Do take the Ferry to Kowloon and walk along the ocean - bring a tri-pod for your camera to take night pictures! Otherwise, enjoy the restaurants - the selection is great, and I was rarely disappointed.

It is not a bad hotel if travellers want to explore the interesting places in Happy Valley. There are many small but excellent restaurants in Happy Valley (frequently visited by Hong Kong movie stars). There is also a very big horse racing track in Happy Valley. Trams are the major means of transportation.

Summer is the wrong time to visit Hong Kong, although I have done it before. The hot weather will make shopping especially tenuous and I don't think anybody would want to spend time in the City of Life cooped up in an air-con room lazing. Otherwise, the transportation system and service industry of this city are world-class and efficient. Add that to the phenomenal shopping and the exciting nightlife, Hong Kong is a great place to spend a weekend.

Bishop Lei is a short walk from great restaurants, pubs, parks, and shopping in the Central and Mid-Level areas of Hong Kong. Easy access to the MTR and Victoria Peak Tram. Outstanding nightlife available in Lan Kwai Fong, less than 10 minute walk from the hotel
