Our day trips to Moreno and Upsala glaciers were absolutely wonderful. On our last day, we booked a driver of a Land Rover to take us around the area including across several estancias. This very expensive trip turned into a disaster when our driver spoke no English, as we had requested, and provided us with no lunch, as we had been told was part of our package. The tour was supposed to be all day long, but lasted only 4 hours. Never again. We ate at La Cocina twice, enjoying the food immensely, and at the excellent El Casimir. The Vaca Atada was far too smoky, and the food was not terribly good. We got around the town on foot, and loved going for walks before and after dinner.
