Snorkeling tour from the hotel is really nice.
Take a taxi to go around the island. Restaurant Guan Guan in Pangkor village is excellent. Restaurant Number 1 has poor service and is very long, and more expensive also.

Snorkelling at Teluk Nipah would be nice with crystal clear blue water bay. Teluk Gadong with historical site which mark the begining of the British in Penisular Malaysia. Pangkor town where souvenirs could be found.

We went out of the resort in the evenings for evening meal to "No.12" on the hotel's map. The No. 1 restaurant was quite good. The taxi service operated very well. The water sports activities were also costly and the resort's own activities and facilities were in bad need of upgrading - eg the midi golf.

While we were there we participated in plenty of watersports and took a snorkelling trip around the island which included a 40 minute stop at the main town for shopping. A nice way to see the main island and the exclusive small island Pangkor Laut.
Apparently it isn't all that safe for foreign women to tour solo around the island so this is a better option. The snorkelling was a waste of time. The coral reefs are nothing like those off the islands on the east coast. Bring plenty of suncream.

Pangkor is an ideal location for a holiday. There are numerous water-based activities for the active ones while those who prefer to take things easy can just sunbathe at the beach.

Beach is right on the doorstep and is just great for young kids. Big shade trees can be found along the beach so kids can play in the sand under shade all day near the sea wing rooms.
There was a small surf while we were there which our five year old enjoyed but we had to watch the two year old. Last time we were there the water was very calm and both could splash away unattended (with floatation devices on the two year old).
A great weekend or long weekend destination. I think I would get a bit bored for any longer.

the place was great. clear water and white sandy beaches but a lot of jellyfishes nearby the beach which i don't know wheather it is dangerous or not. the most exciting moments are, for the first time in my life i tried jetskiing, snorkeling and kayaking. it was fun and relaxing. about the food, i prefer to order room service because it is cheaper than taking the buffet.

The beach at the resort is beautiful. If you want to do nothing but laze in the sun and read a book, it is totally recommended.
TJ is a good place to eat. It is outside of Pan Pac, about 4 km away. Taking a cab costs between 12-15 MYR. Really cheap and good food. The food in Pan Pac is not good at all so I strongly recommend going out for lunch and dinner.

Pangkor is not so big, actually you can see all in a half day trip. There are some jungle trekking routes and a couple of unspectacular historic spots. Also restaurant facilities are not overwhelming. In the end it is a nice little island, but do not go to Pangkor expecting the ultimate active vacations!
