| Guest comments | We enjoyed this Hotel in general. The room was lovely and we enjoyed the magnificent views out of the window. Kate at reception (from 4.0pm-11.00pm) was a shining light and the housekeeping staff that we encountered were helpful and obliging. However, in general the reception staff seemed somewhat impersonal (repeated requests for washing powder resulted in the same reply that "we are out of stock "), the traffic noise was quite loud at times and the lifts were slow and squeaky, to say the least. |

| Guest comments | We found that most hotels in Tassie didn't have air conditioning and were very hot. Everything else was great and the huge T.V. was terrific for watching Australian Open Final ! |

| Guest comments | We stayed here for two nights, but it took some time checking in and out of this hotel despite pre-booking and paying. When I checked out I was told that $50 had been taken as a deposit on my credit card - without being told when I checked in. Even though the member of reception we dealt with was not very efficient, the hotel room was comfortable and very clean. We had a superior room, which meant we had a double and a single bed in the room, but had a fridge, microwave and good facilities. |

| Guest comments | Well... I found it quite distrubing that the hotel did not have an air cooling system or fans. It was HOT. I know it's odd for hobart to be HOT. However, air temperature is a quality issue not a perk.
would I stay here again.... I am afraid not. I would then wonder if I would be too cold.
thank you for your service... however.. this go around... ummm..
cheers

| Guest comments | The hotel was undergoing the final stages of renovations and was covered in scaffolding on the exterior, however the inside fitout had been completed and was lovely. Despite looking like a construction site from the outside there was no disruption to service while staying there, and it was in fact very quiet if there was any building activity. Small but nice rooms, beds very comfortable - the only criticism I do have is that there was no air conditioning or fan. The window was only open a crack, and when I enquired about it I was told I could have a fan the next day but the attendant couldn't leave reception. Air conditioning normally not a big issue for Hobart, but the day I got in was 35 degrees! And the room unfortunately was stuffy without airflow. I would still return though, it was definitely a comfortable stay. Very close (5 min walk) to city mall and Salamanca place (2 min walk), lovely gardens near by. |

| Guest comments | The refurb is nearly complete with only 1 floor and the restaurant to go. The new rooms are excellent, with good facilities, and the staff were very helpful. |

| Guest comments | The rooms were very small. Shower cubicle made smaller by curtain trying to attach itself to you. Knocked toilett roll off holder every time I sat down. Didn't want to spend a lot of time in room but would have liked to enjoy a spin in the shower. Location was excellent though. |

| Guest comments | Room (on 9th floor) VERY noisy (screeching tyres, general yahooing through to 5a.m.), room appeared to have been refurbished by an accountant, NO buffet breakfast as paid for, could have bought off the menu at half of what we were charged |
