Guest commentsExcellent location, lots of good walking tracks near by. Breakfast was excellent and the view from the restaurant of Mt Cook.

Guest commentsHotel is very over-priced compared to other locations in NZ's South Island. However there are really no other options unless one is prepared to pay even more or to travel to other distant locations.

Guest commentsThis was a fine, functional room in a motel-type outbuilding near the lodge. It was pricey for a basic room, but being in the park, you don't have many choices and you did get cards that helped with meals. Amazing views of sunset on Mt. Cook from the lodge restaurant.

Guest commentsIt's hard to fault The Hermitage Hotel. It's position is perfect, the facilities are excellent, the staff are very polite, friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Motel area and our apartment was exceptional. We had the evening buffet in the Alpine Restaurant and again, the food was excellent, a huge selection and replenished quickly and efficiently. The Ed Hillary Exhibition was so interesting that we stayed far longer than we intended and if you do nothing else, you must view the 3D film. Great!

Guest commentsThe views were great, facility very nice. Too bad under construction as parking a mess. We loved the property and treks nearby, great spot!
