| Guest comments | Akasaka Hotel is a bit run down. Even though we requested a non-smoking room, smoke from other floors permeated our room and especially the halls. The place wasn't dirty, just old.
On the brighter side, the staff is very friendly. Also, there is a pizza restaurant just two minutes walk from the hotel that serves really good individual-sized pizzas (I recommend). Bars, shopping, and restaurants are within a 10 minute walking distance. It's nice if you want to go out without the busy streets of central Tokyo. If you prefer busy streets, the subway is a 5 min walk, and the clubbing district of Roppongi is also close by.
Overall, I wasn't especially pleased with the hotel since it was old and small, but I suppose it's okay if you don't plan on spending too much time in you hotel room. |

| Guest comments | The hotel is located in a good area within walking distance to supermarkets and convenience stores.
Area has public maps of train stations and hotel on them. Use Exit 6 or 7 from Akasaka Station. Hotel competively priced.
Major issue was having to hang around for 3 hours till 1500 (3pm) on a rainy day to get access to room to change and shower from having travelled overnight. I had to postpone meeting so that I could change.
If you get into Tokyo early in the day you may need a hotel with earlier check in. |
