| Guest comments | Typical 3 star hotel. The service was commendable as was the restaurant. The food was OK. The rooms were average and the location was a bit out of the way compared with other hotels. A long walk to the night life areas. | ||

| Guest comments | The St. James is a better-than-average business hotel. They gave us tea with a fresh orchid and cool towel at check-in, a perfect pick-me-up from the 45-minute airport taxi ride. They give 2 free bottles of water a day and the linen and rooms are very clean. The location is perfect: only a 3-minute walk to Phrom Phong Skytrain stop, another 5 minutes to the Nana stop (a great bargain street shoppping location), and 10 minutes to the Siam stop (where the impressive new Paragon mall is located). They agreed for us to leave our luggage in the hotel after checkout and before catching our flight as well as to a late check out (2 p.m.instead of 11 a.m.) so we were able to go to the Grand Palace and still use our private bathroom right after. I'd recommend them to anyone who wants great service and clean rooms for a reasonable price. The only slightly negative things were that we had a view of a carpark and they didn't provide a clothesiron but we didn't much care about those things. | ||
